I tried to learn mindfulness many times previously, without any success.
As soon as I became involved with Breathworks, I knew I’d found my mindful home, and it is immensely rewarding to now be part of the Breathworks family myself and teach their Mindfulness for Health and Mindfulness for Stress courses.
Whether or not you are familiar with meditation, these courses are a wonderful opportunity to embrace the building blocks of mindfulness.
The content and structure of both courses offer multiple opportunities to train the mind, learn life-enhancing skills, and get the most out of a mindful way of life. Concepts relating to our thoughts, emotions, physical experience, connection, and our very presence and way of being in the world are explored in simple, accessible ways and understanding is deepened through a variety of techniques and practices.
Mindfulness for Health invites those of us who suffer from long-term, chronic pain and illness to examine mindful ways of being with pain of any kind, reducing suffering in the process and discovering new ways of Being.
Mindfulness for Stress opens up awareness and choice when it comes to dealing with stress of any form and stress-related conditions, especially when someone feels they can’t find a way forward.
Fees are per person and apply for groups of up to six.

£320 Individual Rate with Supporter Contribution for those who wish and are able to ‘pay it forward,’ allowing someone else to benefit from mindfulness training.
£240 Standard Individual Rate
£180 Supported Individual Rate for low-income, unemployed or financial difficulties
Payments can be made for courses on a sessional basis.
The standard teaching format is one session per week - for individuals, this will be 75-90mins and for groups, it is 2 hours. There are also invitations to practise short meditations and mindfulness in daily life. The standard 8-week schedule can be adapted into a shorter timeframe with intensive or more frequent sessions, for both individuals and groups. Please contact me to discuss your needs.

Their gold standard 8-week Mindfulness for Health (Pain Management) & Mindfulness for Stress courses are available in a range of formats for individuals, groups and organisations.

My personal experience of the benefits of mindfulness is that I lead a much happier and more contented life in every way. I enjoy the richness of being fully present in my life and the peace of mind that comes from processing life as it is, rather than as I want or expect it to be. Pain is still a regular feature, but mindfulness has given me the tools to thrive regardless by recognising both what I can change and what I can't, accepting my experience with compassion, wisdom and equanimity and in doing so, using my own resources to free myself from secondary stress and pain. My overall mental, emotional and physical pain have reduced to an all-time low and I have the reassurance and freedom of a mindful way of life, increased productivity, clearer thinking and a deeper connection with myself and the world around me. Mindfulness is not about giving up or giving in. It is about developing the awareness to make wise choices and follow them through to create life-enhancing changes. Instead of living on autopilot and reacting blindly whenever our buttons are pressed, we learn to be fully present in all aspects of our lives, profoundly enriching our human experience.
In addition to teaching Breathworks courses, I offer tailor-made, 121 mindfulness consultations, which may also include psycho-education and holistic health support. These sessions have a fixed fee of £40 per 60 minutes and are for those wishing to explore a particular concept more deeply, examine any barriers or issues with mindfulness and/or explore general mindfulness practices.

I am a teacher, therapist, author and presenter. Alongside my accreditation with Breathworks, I'm a qualified physical therapist and holistic practitioner with over 20 years of experience in Sport & Remedial Therapy, Swedish, Aromatherapy, Acupressure, Indian Head Massage, Reiki, Psychotherapy, Counselling and much more.
I came to mindfulness because I was suffering from severe emotional and mental pain after a series of traumatic losses, in addition to long-term psychological damage from childhood trauma. For too long, my life and identity had been shaped by the effects of trauma and because I had never developed any healthy coping resources, harmful patterns had become ingrained, keeping me in constant cycles of stress and pain. As well as the mental and psychological agony of this, painful physical conditions were also significantly exacerbated as I had always tried to push through any form of discomfort, causing a great deal of additional suffering.
With the challenges of lifelong undiagnosed autism and ADHD also reaching a crisis point, I found myself completely overwhelmed by pain and unable to function. I had no idea how to help myself but as things started to come crashing down and I faced an acute health crisis, it was clear that I needed to learn how to live life very differently - before it was too late.
Slowly but surely, lovingly guided by animal wisdom, natural and alternative therapies, I began a transformative healing journey which led me through the insights of ancient philosophies alongside modern technology, allowing me to access my own innate wisdom and embrace mindfulness... and I have not looked back since.
As my suffering reduced dramatically through mindfulness and meditation, my clarity of mind, self-esteem and sense of identity gradually returned, and I found myself able to document my experiences of grief, trauma and recovery, providing support to others. Shortly after completing my teacher training with Breathworks, I published my first book, Beyond Human Connection (Amazon, Kindle.)
This book is first and foremost a tribute to my incredible Heart Dog, Alfie. It celebrates the profundity of the human-canine bond and the wisdom of animals, especially their embodiment of mindful ways. It also highlights the impact of animal bereavement, shining a light on the depth of these connections with our amazing animals. I examine how the convergence of grief, neurodivergence and trauma may affect how someone is able to ask for or access help, as well as holistic ways of recovering from disenfranchised grief and emotional trauma, improving health and well-being and thriving once again.
I rescued Alfie at a point in my life when I desperately needed rescuing too.
Slowly, we helped each other to heal, and he filled my life with meaning, purpose, the power and purity of unconditional love, and unshakeable loyalty. When I lost him, my world very nearly ended too, but through the strength of our relationship and everything I had learnt from him, he saved me once again, and I was able to embark on my transformative healing journey. Ours is no ordinary bond and I am so blessed to have met such an amazing, loving companion and wise teacher. It is true that love never dies and our remarkable connection continues to be a significant part of my life, guiding me forward with hope and love, always.
